Korg R3 or Alesis Micron? Old question sort of, but help me out!?
I play piano but this is my first synth and I don't know too much about them. I am looking into the Korg R3 and Alesis Micron (the microkorg doesn't seem worth it with the R3 rebate). I am not looking for a trance sound, more Devo less Radiohead. All the videos of the Micron I have found are not my style with all this awful trancey music, and I am figuring I could program it to get the sound I want, but I am not sure. Also, could I plug a mic in the Micron and use it as a vocoder? No idea, please help me out. Thanks!
Only a general impression, since I'm not familiar with both of the models you've mentioned. Alesis synths are much LESS user friendly than Korgs...
