Moog Little
Which synthesizer should I buy?
I'm new to synths, know how to play piano/keyboard though.
I've been recommended a few synths by friends, shop assistants, and the internet.
- Roland Juno G
- Roland Juno Di
- Korg M50
- Moog Little Phatty
- Korg Microkorg
I'd mostly be using it for writing purposes.
Also, if I were to get a synth without a sequencer, would I be able to use software on my laptop as one?

These synths are all pretty nice, but quite different specs. The Juno G is a great synth, includes sequencing and audio recording. The Little Phatty has the signature analog Moog sound but is more of a performance, the Korg m50 is a proper workstation keyboard with touchscreen, sequencer, etc... the MicroKORG has a nice vocoder, but the keys are tiny compared to the other ones and it's just not a workhorse at all. More like a portable performance synth.
All of them have MIDI so you can use software to sequence the sounds, and use them as controller keyboards to trigger samples & virtual instruments in such software as well.
