Electronic Music. I'm pro-Techno and my friend is not. How should I deal with his closed mindedness?
Basically he's a musician therefore I have always considered him to be very open-minded. However I realize with our most recent pseudo-debate that he is not. He refuses to argue objectively, answering questions with false and uninformed generalizations. Such as... It takes no skill to make techno, it's just pressing buttons on the computer. It requires no musical talent. It is repetitive. etc.
I would drop the issue but he continually tries to "convert" me back to the "norm" and treats me as if I've caught some sort of misguided fever. Needless to say it is very draining.
Present to him techno that is mixed with other genres and slowly turn him on to pure techno.
