How can I record one song in a recording studio?

For my me and my boyfriend's anniversary, I want to professionally record our song in a recording studio. Any way to go about doing that?

I'm a studio recording engineer. My advice to you is either find a recording studio and contact them for prices or find a freelance recording engineer on craigslist. A studio generally charges a day rate but when a client only wants to record one song they will charge by the hour. This also depends on what instruments the band has. The big time spender are drums. Drums take a long time to set up, mic, and get sounds for. If it is electronic music, or an acoustic song you can rent a small vocal booth by the hour and save yourself quite a bit of money. Freelance recording engineers are generally cheaper, and often times have as much experience as a house engineer at a studio. I would recommend searching on craigslist for a freelance engineer who has contact with a studio or has a small studio. Hope this helps.
