What is Virtual Memory ROM Or is the Same RAm Where I how to go tocheck how much virtual memory I have?
See, these are all different terms. Dont get confused. Let me explain one by one:
(1) ROM: It is a Read Only Memory that resides on your system board or on some component on it. It is used to store the type of information which is never to be changed.
(2) Virtual Memory: It is a memory that is created by your Operating System from the available space on your hard drive. Virtual Memory is used as an alternative form of memory in cases when your system has less RAM than that is required by your Operating System.
(3) RAM: It is Random Access Memory. It is kind of a rough notepad or workpad for your Operating System. Its is used to do all the temporary work by the OS. Its very fast and thus is used as the main memory by the OS to store data which is frequently required by the Processor.
